After 5: The Team You Need to Keep Your Aging Family and Your Business Going

When we hit a certain age, we may find we’re faced with juggling the care of our elderly parents (and perhaps children as well) with keeping our business running.
Relying on the support of experts like business attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, mentors and referral partners is key to running a successful business. These people become our trusted team, and we depend on them to answer questions that inevitably come up in the course of our work.
Managing the care of our elders should also entail a team, which both ensures that our loved ones get the appropriate care they need but also ensures we don’t have to hold the whole weight of the caregiving. Sharon will talk about who might be on this team and the options available for finding some balance between caring for our special elders and continuing to lead a successful business.
Sharon Connor has worked with older adults in skilled nursing and rehab centers, independent and assisted living environments and in in-home care. Her mission is to assist elders to live in the safest, least restrictive environment of their choice, that provides them with the optimal level of care, so they may live in a dignified manner.
